October 2021, Metro Manila ﹘ Photos of pets and their hoomans in epic Halloween costumes flood a hashtag on Instagram as top real estate developer Empire East launched its online costume contest last Saturday, October 23.
Events are now being shifted online, and Halloween contests are no different for Empire East as they debut a Halloween contest on social media this weekend under the #EmpireEastPetculiarContest hashtag.
“We’d like to think of creative ways for this year’s Halloween events to be accessible to more people without leaving their house, especially our Empire East homeowners,” shared Jaira, one of the organizers of the online Halloween event. “It’s a great way to keep connections within our communities strong, as well as bring entertainment during the pandemic,” she added.
The said contest is also open to non-residents. At the end of the judging period, three winners will be chosen to score home and kitchen tools like a vacuum cleaner, a scented candle package, or an electric meat grinder.
As of writing, the post has reached more than 24,000 people on Instagram alone. To keep things relatable and fun, participants have to answer the question: “What are some pet-culiar (peculiar) ways your pets do to make staying at home great?” as part of the mechanics.
“Milky makes my stay at home during this pandemic happy and very entertaining,” shared Instagram user @alluringjah in her entry as she joined the contest. “Everyday, we made unforgettable bonding moments with him, and to all my cattos & doggo, we love to dress up and pose for the camera,” she added in her entry.
Cute, adorable, and hilarious costumes of pets have taken the internet by storm. Pet owners make sure that their pets get their fair share of Halloween fun by dressing them up in creative costumes appropriate to the occasion.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more people have resorted to social media for their entertainment. While some content could be mentally taxing, wholesome photos of adorable pets like dogs and cats spike up people’s dopamine levels and offer healing amid the stream of hazardous content.
In 27 years of building communities, Empire East has provided more than 17,000 households with high-end, livable spaces for the whole family. Some of its completed developments have proven to be efficient living spaces for parents, kids, and small pets who can access common areas and open spaces.
The company is building its next residential development along Felix Avenue in Pasig-Cainta with wider open spaces and activity areas for families and pets. Empire East Highland City is a 22-hectare township with four (4) grand phases: the Highland Park, Highland Residences, Highland Mall, and membership-exclusive The Chartered Club. This condo for sale in Pasig-Cainta is envisioned to have tree-lined walkways, jogging trails, and biking lanes which will serve as areas for recreation and exercise while simultaneously providing healthier and more sustainable options for transportation to its dwellers.
